Fleet Director
About the role:
As the Fleet Director for Victory Equipment Services, your role will encompass the strategic oversight of the trailer fleet, ensuring optimal utilization, seamless maintenance, and cost efficiency for future business requirements. You will establish and sustain robust relationships with OEMs, Aftermarket suppliers, and dealers to manage trailer transactions on Victory’s behalf. This position demands the formulation of a long-term fleet strategy, collaboration with stakeholders and the executive team, and the application of data analytics for guiding equipment strategy.What's in it for you:

What you’ll be doing:
- Execute trailer purchases and sales on Victory's behalf
- Formulate and implement large scale fleet strategy
- Develop a long-term fleet strategy through collaborating with all levels of the organization
- Oversee the strategic management of Victory’s trailer fleet and our partner TQL’s trailer fleet to ensure optimal utilization, maintenance, and cost-effectiveness
- Buy and sell trailers
- Utilize data analytics to spot trends to assess and adjust strategy as necessary
- Build and maintain relationship at the OEM, Aftermarket and Dealer level to buy/sell trailers
- Analyze performance and market conditions to forecast and identify areas of improvement to maximize trailer utilization
- Organize fleet purchasing including price, contract term negotiation, capital expenditure preparation and final documentation for executive approval
- Maintain insurance and yearly renewal processes to ensure the fleet is always compliant
- Conducting equipment assessments/valuations on site prior to purchase
What you need:
- 7+ years Fleet Management experience or experience with purchasing equipment
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
- Proficient knowledge of the trailer industry including maintenance and trailer purchase negotiation
- History of large fleet management experience (+5,000 units)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present and communicate high level strategy to multiple audiences
- Must exhibit strong sense of integrity in daily business practices
- On call 24/7/365, receiving calls from internal customers and external partners
